Darius Shahinfar to Open Campaign Headquarters

Albany, NY –Darius Shahinfar, candidate for New York’s 21st Congressional District, will be opening his campaign’s headquarters tomorrow, Thursday, July 24.

Where: 255 New Scotland Avenue Albany, 12208. The campaign office is across from the Mobil Station at the intersection of Quail and New Scotland

When: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Darius will be joining attendants and neighboring community members for the celebration of our office’s grand opening with food and drinks.

ALBANY - A meet the candidates night was held Thursday at the Albany Jewish Community Center. Residents got a chance to hear from the candidates running for Rep. Mike McNulty's seat in the 21st Congressional District.

The candidates night covered a wide range of topics, from the war in Iraq, to the economy, to energy.

Democratic candidates Tracy Brooks and Paul Tonko talked about their experience.

"I also had the opportunity to work with Senator Clinton as her regional director in this entire district and in that I've worked side by side with Congressman Mike McNulty and his staff," Brooks said.

Albany, N.Y – Today, Darius Shahinfar, Democratic candidate for New York's 21st Congressional District, announced that his campaign has filed the signatures required by the New York State Board of Elections to be placed on the ballot for the September 9th Democratic Primary.

As Deadline for Primary Petitions Loom, One Congressional Candidate Files

The deadline to file for a spot on the Democratic primary ballot isn't until Thursday, but one candidate for the 21st Congressional seat isn't waiting.

Darius Shahinfar said Tuesday that his campaign had submitted 2,350 signatures to the New York State Board of Elections.

Candidates are required to submit 1,250 signatures by July 10th in order be placed on the ballot for the party primary.
